If the load is on one side, for example due to construction-related attachments such as tanks, power generators or other heavy equipment, it can sometimes happen that the vehicle hangs more or less crookedly to one side. Special metal plates are then placed between the spring assembly and the axle body on the affected side of the vehicle, which permanently balances the vehicle and brings it into a horizontal position. If the rear of the vehicle is to be raised completely, a compensating piece is fitted to each wheel side. It is also possible to use different strengths, so that the motorhome's body can be raised and levelled out at the same time.
